St. John appointed to Stark elections board

By Stephanie Warsmith Published: March 26, 2013

Deametrious A. St. John is the newest member of the Stark County board of elections.

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted chose St. John to complete the unexpired term of Phil Giavasis.

St. John was recommended by the Stark County Democratic Party. County political parties suggest board members, but the secretary of state has the final say.

Elections boards are made up of four members -- two Democrats and two Republicans.
