Two Stark County lawmakers will serve on three summer state legislative study committees that will hold hearings across the state.
The bipartisan committees are: Higher Education Reform, Prescription Drug Addiction and Healthcare Reform, and Tax Reform. The committees will have hearings in August and September throughout the state to gather information from citizens and experts to help in crafting a report and possible legislative recommendations.
Rep. Christina Hagan, R-Alliance, will co-chair the higher education committee. Rep. Stephen Slesnick, D-Canton, is a member of the tax committee.
The hearing dates and locations haven't yet been scheduled.
