President Barack Obama is trying to gain support in Congress for a use of force against Syria, but at least one Akron-Canton area lawmaker isn't sold.
U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Lakeville, whose 7th District includes most of Stark County, released the following statement today on his views:
“The President’s current plan does not meet the threshold for an authorization of military force resolution against Syria. Any type of military action must have clear and coherent objectives on how we can move forward. As this situation evolves, we need to approach it with clear intentions for the best possible outcome. This will require the President to make the case to Congress and to the American people.”
