Akron Civic Theatre joins with Keepin’ It Radio to host the 2012 Northeast Ohio Local Music Awards

Akron, OH (July 3, 2012) The 2012 Northeast Ohio Local Music Awards (NEOLMA) will take place at the Akron Civic Theatre on Saturday evening July 28, 2012.  The awards ceremony and party begin on-stage at 7 pm, with live music and dancing after the awards have been bestowed.

Nominations were received from all over northeast Ohio, including Akron, Youngstown, and Cleveland.  The public has the opportunity to cast votes on-line for nominees in each of the following categories.

1. Best Rock Band

2. Best Metal Band

3. Best Punk Band

4. Best Hip Hop Group/Artist

5. Best Solo Artist

6. Best Lyrics

7. Best Rhythm Guitarist

8. Best Bassist

9. Best Drummer

10. Best Lead/Riff Guitarist

11. Best Song

12. Best On-Stage Presence

13. Best Unclean Vocalist (Screams)

14. Best Clean Vocalist (Singing)

15. Best Headliner

16. Best Up And Comer

17. Best Keyboardist

Voting is open to the public now through July 9 at www.ohiolmas.com.

You gotta appreciate the seperate "unclean" and "clean" vocal categories...someone's a metalcore/hardcore/punk fan.
