Cleveland Agora founder Henry LoConti dead at 85.

By Malcolm Abram Published: July 8, 2014

Cleveland Agora founder Hank LoConti has died after a battle with lymphoma. The 84 year old impresario founded The Cleveland Agora in 1966 by the 1970s and through the 80s the club and the city were synonymous with breaking new rock acts including David Bowie and the 1978 Bruce Springsteen concert that has become a legendary show and much bootlegged recording.

In 2012, The LoConti family donated the Agora to the non-profit MidTown Cleveland to become part of a new development.
