Columbus' Red Wanting Blue will stream new album for fans

By malcolm Published: October 5, 2011

Columbus based quintet Red Wanting Blue, who have a healthy following up here in NE. Ohio are streaming their upcoming ninth album “From The Vanishing Point.”

The band, plays the Kent Stage on October 15 and decided on October 1st that they will stream a new track from the album each day until the entire album is available on Oct. 13.

Here's the link on Soundcloud which apparently doesn't like my computer because I can't get it to work..which is OK with me, because musically this band of seemingly cool guys bores me to tears.

Nevertheless, if you're an RWB fan (and there are a lot of them in this area), it's worth giving the link a shot, perhaps you'll have better luck.

Oh, here's the official word.

Columbus, Ohio’s Red Wanting Blue will be giving fans a preview of its upcoming studio album From The Vanishing Point due in stores on January 10th, 2012via Fanatic Records (EMI/Caroline). Starting on Saturday, October 1st and continuing for the following dozen days, the band will reveal one track from the album, in order, until the entire record is streaming on October 13th.

That evening, Red Wanting Blue will perform From The Vanishing Point live at its hometown venue, the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. Fans can check in on the From The Vanishing Point album stream here: http://soundcloud.com/fanaticpro/sets/red-wanting-blue-from-the-vanishing-point.

From The Vanishing Point is the second album that Red Wanting Blue has recorded with Grammy®-nominated producer Jamie Candiloro, whose previous work includes engineering several REM records and producing the bulk of the Ryan Adams catalog.

Red Wanting Blue fans can also get excited about the chance to appear in the official music video for “Audition,” the first single from From The Vanishing Point. A film crew will be capturing the live performance of the tune on the night of October 13th and fans are encouraged to use their smart phones to capture audience footage that the director of the clip will consider for B-roll.

WOW! B-Roll!
