Devo's Gerald Casale gets his "50 by 50" wines into West Point Market

By Malcolm Abram Published: June 20, 2014

The complicated web of interstate taxes, tarrifs and laws concering the distribution of wine that can a bottle of wine made a few states away cost considerably more than bottle made on another continent hasn't kept Devo's Gerald Casale's new 50 by 50 winds out of Ohio.

Starting Monday, June 23, Casale's wines will be available at West Point Market (1711, West Market St.)

The varietals, a 2012 Pinot Noir and a 2013 Rose of Pinot Noir were introduced to earlier this year and in an interview with the Akron Beacon Journal, Casale expressed some doubt about getting the California wines back to his home state.
