Fall Out Boy to perform in Cleveland in May

By malcolm Published: January 27, 2009

Chicago crosovver emo-Kings Fall Out Boy will be hitting the road this Spring with their Believers Never Die Part Deux Spring to promote their fourth album Folie a Deux which was released in December and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard 200 where it currently resides at # 39.
The tour will hit Cleveland's Time Warner Amphitheater on Tuesday, May 12 with Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Metro Station and Hey Monday as support acts.

Tickets Go onsale on January 31st, prices TBA, but in the press release F.O.B. says that given the downward spiral the economy is currently in, tickets prices will be "comptetive" with many markets getting to see the band for $25.

On a side note, if you're a Simpsons fan you may have noticed that Sunday, Jan. 25 episode featured a different, rocking version of the closing theme as played by.....

...(wait for it)...

Apparently Simpsons creator Matt Groening (or his kids) are big FOB fans and personally asked the band to record a version of the theme for the show.
Throughout the show's near 20 year run the theme has also been recorded by other hip bands such as Green Day, Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo and Los Lobos.

In addition to the pleasure of seeing (and probably screaming at) Fall Out Boy, fans can use a special F.O.B. Iphone app that allows them to buy tickets directly from their phone (uh, ain't that what Ticketmaster does?) and, if they are so inclined, fans can use the app's GPS-aware functionality to display their location and share images and such from the shows with fans around the world.

Call me old-school paranoid, but if I'm not married or related to you, I don't want you to know exactly where I am at any given time.
