Indie rock legends Dinosaur Jr. coming to Musica, April 8

By malcolm Published: February 26, 2009

Wow, Let's hear it for longtime area booker/manager Tim Eddings who currently books for downtown night spot Musica because this ought to be a dadrn good show.

The reconstituted Dinosaur Jr., the 80's/90's indie rock legends featuring original members guitarist J. Mascis (a buddy to Clevelanders Cobra Verde), Sebadoh leader Lou Barlow and drummer Murph will bring their classic indie rock tunes such as Out There and Freak Scene and songs from their upcoming as-yet untitled album.

The band's 2007 reunion album Beyond was a strong return to form and hopefully whatever new songs they preview from the upcoming album will continue the good vibes generated by Beyond.

Tickets for the all ages show go on sale at 11 a.m. Satuday Feb. 28 and will be $18 adv/ $20 day of +$2 for minors. I wouldn't dawdle as between the old indie rock farts like myself and the younger kids who grew up listening to this stuff on their older sibling/friends/cousins radios this show should sell out quite quickly.
