Major 2013 Grammys nominations favor younger, 21st Century artists
So, it seems the Grammys voting body has either made a concentrated effort to embraced the artists of the 21st century or they allowed their kids to cast their ballots because the list nominees in what are considered the Big Boys & Girls categories (Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year) of the 2013 Grammy Awards, feature not one legacy artist.

The Black Keys receive six Grammy nominations including Record and Album of the Year
The Black Keys, the duo of native Akronites drummer Pat Carney and singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach received a total of six Grammy nominations during the Grammy's Nominations Concert Live Wednesday night.
The indie blues-rock duo turned arena rock star's single "Lonely Boy" was nominated for Record Of The Year, Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. The group has previously won three Grammys for the song "Tighten Up" and 2010 album "Brothers"
