Hey, it couldn't hurt the Browns chances in 2012, could it?

("...with the fourth pick in the draft the Cleveland Browns take Trent Richardson, running back, Alabama"...make it happen H&H!)

'Orange and Brown' Etched in Time and Rhyme
Etch A Sketch phenomenon's art and design company teams up with Akron soul rockers Winslow to celebrate the Cleveland Browns

The "Orange and Brown" Cleveland Browns wear by GV Art + Design is back in time for the 2012 NFL Draft starting this week.

The company, co-owned by world-renowned Etch A Sketch artist George Vlosich III, is re-launching a series of t-shirts originally designed for the Brown's defensive line to wear during the 2009 football season. As a special tribute to Cleveland's endeared sports team, the product re-launch is accompanied with a song entitled "Pound for Pound (Orange and Brown)," lyrically written by George Vlosich, Jr. and musically arranged by Northeast Ohio's rock 'n' soul ensemble Winslow.

Last October, Vlosich, Jr. contacted Winslow frontman Maurice Martin to kick around ideas for one of two songs he wanted to record. Martin, a diehard Browns fan, jumped at the opportunity to collaborate on the song about his favorite football team.

"George contacted me and said that he'd written lyrics for a song to go along with the Orange and Brown line. He had a version of the song that someone else had recorded, but he wanted to see what a different band could do," Martin said.

Winslow strayed from its soulful roots to record the heavy rock rendition reminiscent of a thrashing, headbanger 80s hairband tune."We sat with the recording and the lyrics and came up with a completely different concept for the song. It's fun as hell. I was crazy excited to do it since I'm such a huge Browns fan," Martin said. "We hope Browns fans will be hearing 'Orange and Brown' in the stadium this year."This is not the first time GV Art + Design has teamed up with an area artist to promote its unique products with song. In 2007, Vlosich, Jr. and his sons co-wrote a rap song recorded by Ronnie Macc to accompany a YouTube video of Vlosich III's "NBA Finals Lebron Etch A Sketch," which was sponsored by the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans. Vlosich, Jr. emphasized that the motivation for designing the t-shirts and writing songs is wanting something positive for the city of Cleveland: "It's about saying 'Hey, Cleveland is a pretty great place. Let's talk about it. Instead of knocking it down."
