The Black Keys are back in their studio in Nashville and they are progressing nicely on the next effort.
Pat Carney said things are going well and they have two friends helping on the record. First they brought in their old friend Danger Mouse. He helped out with some of the tracks on Brothers and they want him to produce more of their songs for this one.
The other friend is a total shock: John Stamos! This isn't John's first time behind a drum kit, the man tours when his schedule allows with The Beach Boys. He knows his way around the snares and cymbals and toms.
The Keys didn't say exactly how many songs Stamos would be drumming with them for on the record, but let's be honest, if it's one, if it's all of them, this just upped the awesomeness for The Black Keys to astronomical levels. As if they needed to get cooler.
Also the female audience for The Black Keys just increased 10000%. John helps there too...
in case you're curious, here's Stamos in action with the Beach Boys.
