Robert Wilson, Gap Band bassist, dies
Robert Wilson, bassist for 80's R&B group The Gap Band died Sunday at the age of 53.
Wilson was the bass player for the band and was recruited by eldest brother Ronnie Wilson along with singer Charlie.
According to the Associated Press, Wilson had been touring recentlyi and died in Los Angeles.
The Gap Band had a string of R&B hits throughout the 1980's including retro radio staples, "You Dropped A Bomb On Me," "Yearning For Your Love" "Burn Rubber on Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)¶
