Season Seven winner DAVID COOK will be performing at Musica in downtown Akron on Friday, May 8th.
Some fans may recall that just a few short months ago a date was announced at Musica and a few hours later withdrawn after the tour dates were retooled to focus on college campuses.
Well, according to Tim Eddings of Celebrity Etc who books the Musica, Cook's team felt bad about booking and then unbooking the gig and when a break in Cook's busy, busy schedule came up, Musica got the gig.
That's right folks, metal screamer for hire Tim "Ripper" Owens (Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen, Iced Earth Beyond Fear etc..) will finally be releasing his debut solo album.

Musicians such as uber bassist Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr. Big), less uber-bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne), guitarist Bob Kulick (Kiss, Lou Reed, Michael Bolton), and guitarist Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) all stopped by the studio to help Ripper out.
Here's the tentative song list with the guest artists.
