So, if you've been following Akron's own the Black Key's local concert venue trajectory you may have noticed that they've gone from playing sold out shows at the Lime Spider to (near) sold out shows at The Akron Civic Theatre and E.J Thomas and now they've moved up to a possibly sold out show at Nautica Pavilion on July 18.
With the West Akron duo about to release their sixth album Brothers on May 18, and what looks to be the biggest media push they've received from their label Nonesuch (and it's parent company Warner Bros.), Pat and Dan are movin' on up to a dee-luxe amphitheater in the Flats.
Tickets for the show are $30 and go on sale Friday, May 7 at your local Ticketmaster locations both on and offline. You can purchase tickets starting Wednesday directly from the band's Web site. You have to sign up to get access, however.
The Keys will be supported at Nautica by Kent-based singer Jessica Lea Mayfield. Auerbach produced Mayfield's debut album With Blasphemy So Heartfelt, which Nonesuch released.
