Yeah, that's right...There should be a tear in the space/time continuum opening any minute now...
From the "WHAT THE HELL?" files comes this slightly surreal bit of promotional information from the Associated Press.
Starting June 9, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar will hit the road with an eclectic and interesting cast featuring:
MICHELLE WILLIAMS (a.k.a the least interesting member of Destiny's Child) starring as Mary.
BRANDON BOYD (lead singer of early 2000's metalish band Incubus) starring as Judas
JC CHASEZ (the second funkiest former member of 'N Sync) starring as Pontius Pilate
JOHN LYDON (a.k.a. Public Image Ltd., leader a.k.a Johnny Rotten lead singer of the Sex Pistol) starring as Jud King Herod
yeah, go ahead and read that last one again, if you need too.
BEN FORSTER (a.k.a The Winner of U.K.'pop star reality show "Superstar" a.k.a Who?) will star as Jesus H. Christ
The revival...err....resurrectin begins in New Orleans and stops in Clevland at The Quicken Loans Arena on Sunday, August 10....
Tickets for the first 22 shows, New Orleans through Edmonton, will go on sale beginning Friday, April 11 at www.jesuschristsuperstar.com. All subsequent market on-sale dates will be announced locally in the weeks to come. Tickets prices vary by market. They range from $29.50 to $125 plus applicable fees and service charges. In addition, a limited number of Gold Circle tickets and Superstar Premium VIP packages are available.
\Well, it should be interesting.. Let's all take a moment to imagine John Lydon applying his falsetto voice to the King Herod's Song, shall we?
