Slipknot holds press conference for fallen bassist
Yeah, I apologize for being late on this sad news.
But for any Slipknot fans who may have missed it (or anyone interested in sadness) here is the press conference from Slipknot members about bassist Paul Gray, 38, who was found dead in a hotel room in Iowa on Tuesday
Gray, a founding member of Slipknot was found by a hotel worker slumped in a corner of his room with a hypodermic needle and an assortment of pills nearby.
Grays wife Brenna is pregnant with a daughter that she said will grow up knowing about her father's musical legacy.
Authorities say there is no evidence of trauma or foul play and a preliminary autopsy was inconclusive and toxicology results will take a few weeks.
Black Keys "Brothers " debuts at number 3 on Billboard charts
Kudos to Pat and Dan aka the Black Keys on shifting nearly 80,000 units of their new album Brothers released on May 18 and debuting at number three on the Billboard Top 200 Albums charts.
The Firestone grads are right behind yet another Glee compilation (I watch the show but can't imagine why I'd want to own the music) at #1 and the Rolling Stones Exile on Main St. deluxe reissue which is a "re-entry" and is celebrating its 44th week on the charts...separated by nearly 40 years.

On Sunday, July 11 during the dog days of summer (actually I don't know the official window for the "Dog Days" but mid-July seems about right, don't it?)
That's right get hot and sweaty, ruin the hairdo you just had done special for the concert and groove to a gaggle of current hip hop and R&B artists.
Yeah, you may not remember some of their names in a few years but right now most of them are HOT!
Anyway, here's who you'll see.

Yikes.
Perhaps something in Mick Taylor's system simply doesn't want him to play N.E. Ohio.

The Black Keys to play Nautica Pavillion in July
So, if you've been following Akron's own the Black Key's local concert venue trajectory you may have noticed that they've gone from playing sold out shows at the Lime Spider to (near) sold out shows at The Akron Civic Theatre and E.J Thomas and now they've moved up to a possibly sold out show at Nautica Pavilion on July 18.
With the West Akron duo about to release their sixth album Brothers on May 18, and what looks to be the biggest media push they've received from their label Nonesuch (and it's parent company Warner Bros.), Pat and Dan are movin' on up to a dee-luxe amphitheater in the Flats.
