The Browns have the sixth pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and obviously there are always a lot of options facing any team with any pick in the draft.
But this will be interesting for the Browns, and it will shed some light on how Pat Shurmur thinks the team should go.
All indications are that the best wide receiver and possibly the best skill position offensive player will be available for the Browns. Does Shurmur get quarterback Colt McCoy a real weapon?
The other side in this draft is deep in elite defensive linemen. Meaning even if the Browns take a player who is considered the fourth best defensive linemen they might be getting an elite player, a player who might have been the first pick in the draft in other years.
As it stand right now, Mel Kiper of ESPN thinks the Browns might go for defensive end J.J. Watts of Wisconsin and Todd McShay of ESPN thinks defensive tackle Marcell Dareus of Alabama is the choice.
And don't forget Cam Newton is climbing all the draft boards fast. Is an elite athletic quarterback a possibility?
