Media notes: Erin Andrews to Fox, Darren Rovell to ESPN, new SI TV show

Here are some recent updates in the TV sports world.

Erin Andrews turned down a contract to stay at ESPN and instead will work at Fox Sports. She will be a part of the college football shows on Fox and FX plus will do NFL and MLB work for the network. Here is a report that she will start next week on Fox with All-Star Game duties.

New Orange Bowl deal shows how TV money is big prize

CBS Sports college football analyst Dennis Dodd breaks down what the new postseason playoff construction will look like and he also describes how the TV contracts are a source for more money for the big five conferences. Here is the link.

He says the Rose Bowl (Big Ten-Pac 12, Champions Bowl (SEC-Big 12) and Orange Bowl (ACC) will have their own TV deals. Right now, ESPN has the Rose Bowl rights until 2026. The other two are open to bid.

More details about Joe Paterno, Penn State emerge in Sandusky case

CNN reported over the weekend that there are e-mails that seem to show former Penn State coach Joe Paterno was part of a coverup in the Jerry Sandusky case. Here is a link to that.

It also has been reported that there is more evidence in other instances where Paterno played a part in discipline of football players in places he had no jurisdiction. There is also more on Sandusky case here. Here is a link to that.
