The Sporting News and Sports Business Journal are reporting that Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports' attempt to compete in a major way with ESPN, doesn't have agreements with Time Warner, DirecTV or Dish Network.
The new network is set to replace Speed Channel. Its sister station, FS2, is set to replace Fuel TV this Saturday as both debut.
Right now, the TV distribution companies pay 23 cents per customer per month for Speed Channel. Fox Sports is asking for 80 cents for FS1. ESPN receives more than $5 per customer.
