The Sport Editor's Desk
Top of the morning:
- It has been nearly three years in the making but Cavs GM Chris Grant pulled off the trade he thinks was needed. And who can blame him? Jon Leuer for three players and a possible future lottery pick. Leuer for anything is an amazing enough deal. Here is Jason Lloyd's thoughs on the deal.
- Make sure to check out the Cavs blog after most games for Jason's final thoughts. With deadlines the way they are in this newspaper business, Jason normally has to pound out a game story in a hurry for the Beacon Journal. He then takes some time to put that game in perspective on the Cavs blog. Last night was a good example of why it is a must read for Cavs fan. Here Jason goes a little more into the 40-point Kyrie Irving game in the victory over the Celtics.
- The Browns coaching staff is nearly complete for Rob Chudzinski. Today Norv Turner, the new offensive coordinator, is conducting a news conference. Nate Ulrich (@NateUlrichABJ) and Marla Ridenour (@MRidenourABJ) will be there.
- Tonight the Zips are at Toledo in men's basketball; the Flashes are at Bowling Green.
Anyone paying attention to the Australian Open?
Also 21 days until the Indians first workout. Good news when it was 1 degree this morning.
