Top of the morning: TV and sports

TV ratings are up for nearly every sports. NBA increase, NASCAR jumping back up, Golf Channel doing well. I fully expect to read that Wimbledon will be up and the Tour de France.

The NHL, thought to have made a bad choice going to Versus five years ago, just signed a 10-year deal worth $1 billion to remain there and with NBC.

Jason Lloyd has chronicled the Cavaliers for more than a year for and the Beacon Journal, and for you, our readers. I think with that knowledge he has gained his column following the draft for Saturday, puts a good ending on a long year for the Cavs.

GM Chris Grant obviously has a plan and is sticking to it. The draft was weak so he went for strong "humans." An odd choice of words by Grant but we can get the point.
