In action and words, LeBron James through his foundation and the now infamous Sports Illustrated essay, has shown that he’s seeing a bigger picture for himself in life.
There are the charitable works, but he wants to have success in the world of entertainment, too. He gets his first shot Oct. 4 when Starz premieres Survivor’s Remorse, a six-part comedy series based on the start of his NBA career.
Jessie Usher will play Cam Calloway, the James character in the series, a recent signee to a pro basketball team in Atlanta, Ga.
James and his childhood friend Maverick Carter both serve as executive producers of the series. It may not be James’ only foray into the world of entertainment. Comedian Kevin Hart, recently in town to promote a film, told Cleveland.com’s Clint O’Connor that he’s currently working on writing the script for movie for him and James to star.
