Will someone make the stupid stop?
Especially when it encompasses homophobia? Personally, my jaw dislodge from my head as the following report given by ESPN's Josina Anderson droned on and on.
The problem? Seeking out Michael Sam's St. Louis Rams teammates and getting answers about the rookie and the NFL's first openly gay player' shower habits. It's unnecessary, unduly sensational and, to be honest, tasteless.
Who the hell cares about that? What is Sam doing on the football field? Does he have a decent shot of making the roster (he made it through the first cut, by the way) and do his teammates respect his play thus far?
Those questions are all relevant. Whether he gives them space while showering? Not so much.
A bigger question: where was a producer to pull the plug on this asinine report?
