Anheuser-Busch InBev has introduced its latest seasonal Shock Top brand: Shock Top Lemon Shandy. The beer will be available through the end of July. Lemon Shandy is a wheat beer with spices and natural lemonade flavor.
AB releases Shock Top Lemon Shandy
“When the temperatures start to warm up, you appreciate the added level of refreshment a lemonade flavor can bring to your beer, and Shock Top’s citrusy base provided the ideal starting point for creating this new recipe,” Shock Top brewmaster Jill Vaughn said in a prepared statement.
The introduction of Lemon Shandy marks the first seasonal rollout for the Shock Top family in 2012. Last year, Shock Top rolled out its first year-round line extension with Shock Top Raspberry Wheat, and its first seasonal with Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat. Shock Top Wheat IPA was introduced last month. Shock Top is growing in popularity, up more than 142 percent in 2011, the company said.
