Angels on the Avenue will host a fundraising brewery tour Oct. 6. The group, which volunteers time at the St. Augustine Health Campus, an assisted living center on Cleveland's west side, plans to donate $1,000 to the Holy Family Hospice in Parma.
The tour was set up to honor Angels on the Avenue founding member Dick Kemer who died of lung cancer in May.
The tour will feature stops at Indigo Imp in Cleveland, Cellar Rats in Madison, Chardon BrewWorks in Chardon, Main Street in Garrettsville and Buckeye Beer Engine in Lakewood. The cost is $50 and includes bus transportation by Touch of Class Limo Service, draft beer on the bus and tastings at most of the breweries. There also will be raffles and other fundraising throughout the day.
The tour -- limited to the first 50 people who sign up -- departs at 10 a.m. from the parking lot of P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub. For more details or to make a reservation, email Joe Dailey at email@example.com or call him at 216-701-3143. Payments are due by Sept. 22.
