Barley’s Brewing Co. will host its 19th annual “Afternoon with the Brewers” celebration at 1 p.m. Sunday. (June 22)
The Columbus brewpub will tap the winner of last year’s homebrew competition and announce the winner of this year’s contest. There were about 55 entries this year.
The winning beer from last year is called Two Tones IPA named after the two homebrewers who created it: Anthony McKeivier and Tony Hill. Get it? Two Tonys.
“It’s an extremely hoppy, American IPA,” Barley’s brewmaster Angelo Signorino Jr. said.
The annual gathering also features Columbus-area brewers and their beers. Actual, Columbus, Four String, Gordon Biersch, Homestead, Seventh Son, Sideseipe, Weasel Boy and Zauber are committed to attend. Others may also come, Signorino said.
“We’re going to have as many brewers as we can wrangle,” he said.
