Here are a few interesting beer-related stories:
-- Boston Beer Co., which has a Samuel Adams brewery in Cincinnati, reported third quarter results. The company reported net revenue of $166.4 million, an increase of $31.6 million or 23 percent, over the same period last year. Net income was $20.8 million, an increase of $4.5 million, from the third quarter of 2011. To read a release about the results, click here.
-- Superstorm Sandy whacked some East Coast breweries, the Associated Press reports. "It's a pretty bad scene, but we have no doubt we'll be operational again, maybe in two months, hopefully by the end of the year," said Evan Klein, co-founder of Barrier Brewing in Oceanside.
