-- Reuters reports that the tradition of stopping at the local bar for a beer on the way home from work is going the way of the dodo bird. Experts blame the decline on fewer manufacturing jobs and the economy. "Contrary to the myth that people go out and drown their sorrows, the truth is that beer drinkers are pretty responsible people and when they have to cut back, they're cutting back on their pleasures," Beer Institute spokesman Chris Thorne told Reuters.
