-- The Associated Press reports that the Richmond Flying Squirrels, a minor league baseball team, is partnering with Center of the Universe Brewing Co. in Ashland, Va., to create a special beer that will be available at the ballpark. -- The Coloradoan newspaper reports that New Belgium -- which is moving into Ohio next month -- will release a new year-round beer called Snapshot Wheat. “This has been a fascinating process,” New Belgium brewmaster Peter Bouckaert said in a news release. “We are actually blending two beers here — one that is traditionally fermented and one that undergoes a lactobacillus fermentation which creates a subtle tartness. By blending the two, we smooth out the tart and create a very refreshing and sessionable wheat beer.” To read the full story, click here.
