Blank Slate Brewing Co. — which celebrated its one-year anniversary earlier this month (July) — has hired its first employee, albeit a part-time worker.
"I managed to operate this brewery 100 percent by myself for a year," owner and brewer Scott LaFollette said in an email. "Now I am down to about 98 percent completely by myself."
Blank Slate, a production brewery in Cincinnati, is now finalizing financing to add more fermenting tanks to boost capacity from 28 barrels to 49 barrels, he added.
