Blank Slate opens in Cincinnati
Blank Slate Brewing Co., a new production brewery in Cincinnati, is open and selling its draft beer to area bars and restaurants.
The brewery, located in an industrial building near Lunken Airport, has three beers available: Movin' On, an American session ale; Pour...Wait...Repeat, a summer wheat; and Ryesing Up, a rye saison with peppercorns.
Local homebrewer Scott LaFollette started the brewery after spending more than 12 years as an engineer and polymer chemist. He noted in a release that Blank Slate will be featured at the Northside Rock and Roll Carnival next week.
The brewery's motto is: “Our minds may be empty…Our beer is not…” "Blank Slate intends to build on the great German beer heritage in Cincinnati by exposing it to several other styles of beer from around the world," LaFollette said in the release.
