Cellar Dweller Brewery in Morrow will tap the first beer in its new guest brewer program at 6 p.m. today (Nov. 21). The program involves homebrewers developing a recipe and brewing at Cellar Dweller under the tutelage of head brewer Steve Shaw and then having the beer released at the brewery taproom.
The first beer is Shutdown Double Cocoa Brown Ale and was created by Danny Spears of the website Beermumbo.com. (You can read all about the beer and brewing experience at his website.)
"Everybody would love to have their beer put on tap somewhere," Shaw said about why he created the program.
He said he plans a new guest-made beer each month. So far, the first four months are spoken for, Shaw said. Anyone interested can email Shaw at Steve@valleyvineyards.com
