Chardon schedules beer festival

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce and Chardon Tomorrow are sponsoring the Chardon Brewfest from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Eltech Building.
The event will feature up to 20 local craft brewers. Food also will be available from up to seven Chardon area restaurants and there will be live music throughout the festival. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at the festival website. Tickets at the door are $25. The cost includes a commemorative mug.
The featured brewers are: Black Box, The Brew Kettle, Cellar Rats, Chardon Brew Works, Cornerstone, Fat Head's, Great Lakes, Indigo Imp, Lager Heads, Market Garden, Ohio, Rust Belt, Thirsty Dog and Willoughby.
There also will be a Chardon Golffest miniature golf outing taking place from noon until 5 p.m. the same day at Chip’s Clubhouse. The event will feature contests, raffles, prizes and games for all ages. The cost is $8 and includes lunch.
