The event, which is free to attend, will be at the Christian Moerlein Taproom at 1621 Moore St. in Cincinnati. There will be archival stein sketches, Rookwood steins and 100-plus authentic German steins on display.
“The steins on display will also be for sale for any guest hoping to add another stein to their collection," George Hibben of the Thoroughbred Stein Verein said in a prepared statement, “and we’ll even do appraisals of your current breweriana."
Food truck Café de Wheels will arrive at noon. And Christian Moerlein Chief Executive Officer Greg Hardman will give a talk at 1 p.m. His lecture will cover the birth and development of his project to rekindle stein development between Rookwood Pottery and Christian Moerlein.
At 2 p.m., Steve Hampton from the OTR Brewery District will provide a tour of the northeast section of the Brewery District. The cost for the tour is $10. “I’m excited to give a tour for an event full of people who love steins and breweriana," he said in a prepared statement. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the OTR Brewery District's mission to preserve historic brewing sites within Over the Rhine and Cincinnati’s heritage.
