The Cincinnati Craft Brewers' Oktoberfest returns Oct. 10-11 to Listermann Brewing Co. The third annual event, as with previous years, will feature Cincinnati-area brewers.
"The idea behind Oktoberfest is to celebrate the arrival of fall, fall beers, and of course, Cincinnati," the brewery said in a news release.
The following breweries are participating: Blank Slate, Fifty West, Christian Moerlein, Rock Bottom, Rivertown, Mt. Carmel, MadTree, Cellar Dweller, Wiedemann, Quaff Bros., Rhinegeist, Triple Digit/Listermann and Bad Tom.
The breweries each will tap a rare beer at noon Oct. 11. Triple Digit also will tap a different version of Chickwow! every hour. And Listermann will hold a ceremonial tapping of its Oktoberfest Lager at 4 p.m. that day. The specific beer lists will be released closer to the event, Listermann said.
In addition to beer, the event will feature live music and food. Cincideutsch is helping host the festival.
The festival is free to attend and people pay for the beer they drink. The event runs from 5 p.m. to midnight Oct. 10 and noon to 11 p.m. Oct. 11

Your favorite Oktoberfest is back for its third year! The Cincinnati Craft Brewers’ Oktoberfest is generally the last one of the season and has a unique twist the others do not. At this fest, there is only ONE Oktoberfest beer served, while the others are all beers brewed in Cincinnati. This year the festival is being held October 10th and 11th at Listermann Brewing Company in Norwood, Ohio. The idea behind Oktoberfest is to celebrate the arrival of fall, fall beers and, of course, Cincinnati. There is no cost to attend Oktoberfest, just pay for whatever you eat and drink! The celebration goes from Friday at 5 pm until midnight and Saturday from Noon until 11 pm.
The breweries involved are: Blank Slate, Fifty West, Christian Morelein, Rock Bottom, Rivertown, Mt. Carmel, Madtree, Cellar Dweller, Wiedemann, Quaff Bros, Rhinegeist, Triple Digit, Bad Tom Smith and Listermann.
Saturday at Noon will be a rare beer tap in. One rare beer from every brewery will either be on draft or on cask until they run out. Triple Digit will also be tapping a different variation of Chickow! every hour, on the hour. Stay tuned for the beer lists that will be coming out closer to the event.
Listermann Brewing Company has teamed up with the Cincideutsch to host the event. They will be bringing an authentic German feel to the festival, as well as booths, banners and parades to talk about their club. The ceremonial keg tapping of the Listermann Oktoberfest Lager will be held at Saturday at 4 p.m.
Like the Volksfest and Starkbier Fest previously held at LBC, this event will be family and dog friendly. More info on the music and food venders will be provided later.
