Dayton Beer upgrades brewing system
The Dayton Beer Co. in Kettering, which opened earlier this year, is already expanding its brewing capacity.
Owner/brewer Pete Hilgeman launched the production brewery and taproom in suburban Dayton with a 1 1/2-barrel system. Business has been so strong that he's now upgrading to a 7-barrel system. (See photos below.)
"Our first five months have exceeded all expectations and we have upgraded to a 7-barrel brewing system to finally begin distribution into the market," Hilgeman said in an email. "I plan on brewing my first batch on the new system this week so we can get product out there before the holidays!"
