Flatrock Brewing to open Dec. 15
Flatrock Brewing Co. in Holgate -- Ohio's newest production brewery -- will hold its grand opening from 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 15. The brewery will have its Towpath Classic American Pilsner, Hopgoblin American IPA, Pritchard Lane Bourbon Barrel Aged Pale Ale and Mitternacht Schwarzbier available for sale in bottles and 32-ounce growlers.
"It's been a very interesting and rewarding journey to get to this point," owner and brewer Lawrence Pritchard said in an email. "With very limited funding, we couldn't have done it without the support of the community, family and friends."
Flatrock plans to release a barrel-aged series, including Pagan Bourbon Barrel Oatmeal Stout and Sir Isaac Apple Lambic, sometime in January. The brewery has no tasting room right now.
