The Glass City Beer Festival is going with the VIP treatment this year. For the first time, the event, which is celebrating its eighth year, will open its doors an hour early for VIP ticket-holders and provide special, limited brews for them.
The festival is from 7 to 11 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Lucas Recreation Center Hall No. 2. VIP ticket-holders get in at 6 p.m.
The event -- a fundraiser for the Arc of Lucas County and the NW Ohio Hemophilia Foundation -- will feature more than 40 craft breweries and 190 beers. There also will be food and live music by 56DAZE.
VIP tickets are $50 in advance or $55 at the door. General admission tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. They can be purchased at all Toledo-area Andersons stores.
