Granite City Food & Brewery, a Minneapolis-based chain, plans to open a restaurant in Cleveland. The news was reported last week in the Ohio Brew Week program.
Brewer Scott McDole told the publication that the company is opening six more brewpubs, including one in Cleveland. It already operates a restaurant in suburban Toledo.
Granite City, which has 27 restaurants in 13 states, doesn't brew at each location, but trucks in wort from Iowa to its sites. The company also operates the Cadillac Ranch brand.
Chief Executive Officer Rob Doran didn't return a phone call seeking comment on the expansion plans.
