Granville Brewing plans Feb. 2 debut
Granville Brewing Co. in Granville will make its debut Feb. 2 at a fundraiser for The Works museum in Newark. The event, Cocktails by the Fire, begins at 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
Granville, a nanobrewery that specializes in Belgian-style ales, expects to hit the retail market the following week with three beers in 22-ounce bottles: The Betrayer, a tripel; The Reaper, a saison; and The Oppressor, a Belgian-style amber.
"Jay (Parsons) and I are extremely excited to be able to finally offer our beers to the public," brewer Ross Kirk said in an email. "We are proud of them and believe that they are worth the wait. We are especially pleased to have our initial release at Cocktails by the Fire ... We see it as a proper beginning to what we hope will be a long relationship between the Granville Brewing Co. and the people of Licking County."
The beers will initially be available in Granville and Newark, with plans later for limited distribution in Columbus.
