Great American Beer Festival under way
The 30th annual Great American Beer Festival is under way in Denver and there are plenty of Ohio breweries pouring their beer at the prestigious event. The following breweries are representing the state: Boston Beer Co., The Brew Kettle, Columbus Brewing, Elevator Brewing, Fat Head's, Gordon Biersch, Great Lakes Brewing, Hoppin' Frog, Jackie O's, Ohio Brewing, Rivertown Brewing, Rock Bottom, Thirsty Dog, Weasel Boy and Willoughby Brewing. BJ's Restaurants and Granite City -- which both have restaurants in the state but don't brew in Ohio -- also are there. Obviously, Anheuser-Busch InBev and MillerCoors, which both operate breweries in Ohio, are at the event. Overall, 2,400 beers are available. Organizers will announce the medal winners Saturday afternoon. For more details, click here.
