Great Black Swamp celebrates anniversary
Great Black Swamp Brewery in Toledo is celebrating its second anniversary and has released Anniversary Ale on draft to celebrate. The beer is an imperial India pale ale that's 10 percent alcohol by volume.
"We saw another year of growth so we’re pretty happy about that," co-owner and brewer Paul Traver said about the past year. "Hopefully the new year holds more growth for us again."
In other Great Black Swamp news, the brewery will release its Bull Frog Stout in bottles starting next week. That's the last of the brewery's year-round beers to be put in bottles.
The brewery also will release its winter warmer, Snow Drift, in January. It's an 8 percent traditional winter warmer and isn't spiced. "It has a nice real, big malty dark fruit flavor to it," Traver said. Snow Drift will be available on draft only.
