Great Lakes Brewing plans barrel-aged party
Great Lakes Brewing Co. in Cleveland will hold a special party Jan. 16 to celebrate the release of its 2012 bourbon barrel-aged stout. The event will be held at the brewery tasting room. The cost is $30, and includes appetizers and four 5-ounce samples: 2012 Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout, Rackhouse Ale, 2011 Blackout Stout and 2010 Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout. There are two tasting sessions: 5 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m. Participants also will be able to buy 12-ounce bottles individually ($8) or in four-packes ($30) before the general public.
