Great Lakes Brewing Co. in Cleveland will tap a new batch of Butcher's Brew on April 17 to help support the West Side Market recover from a recent fire. The brewery made the commemorative brew -- a Kulmbacher-style lager -- last year for the market's 100th anniversary celebration.
The brewery, located across the street from the historic market, will donate proceeds of beer sales to support the Market Bonds program, which raises money for market vendors. For more details about the bond program, click here.
Great Lakes co-owner Pat Conway will tap the beer and kick off the bond sales at 11 a.m. April 17 at the West Side Market Cafe. Samples will be available for a monetary donation at the cafe.
Butcher’s Brew also will be available on draft only for $6 a pint at the brewpub.
