Hoppin' Frog wins blind Xmas tasting
Hoppin' Frog Frosted Frog Christmas Ale won the annual blind Christmas beer tasting earlier this month at Vintage Estate Wine and Beer in Boardman. Frosted Frog also topped the annual event the previous two years.
Southern Tier 2XMAS finished second, and Fat Head's Holly Jolly was third.
The Vintage Estate event is an unusual one. People sample holiday beers without knowing what they are tasting. They then vote for their favorites.
The other beers sampled were: Breckenridge Christmas Ale, Lakefront Holiday Spice, Columbus 12 Hops of Christmas, North Coast Wintertime Ale, Samuel Adams Winter Lager, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Anchor Christmas, Thirsty Dog 12 Dogs of Christmas, Bell's Christmas Ale and Goose Island Christmas Ale.
