Hospice fundraiser planned
The Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service in Akron will hold its second annual "Joyful Tastes of Life" featuring craft beer, wine and food sampling from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 13 at Todaro's Party Center. Heidelberg Distributing Co., Superior Beverage Group, Ohio Brewing Co. and Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. are participating. Presented by the Akron General Development Foundation, the event raises funds for end-of-life patient care and supportive services at Hospice of VNS. The fundraiser will feature a wine and craft beer tasting, as well as sampling of seasonal foods from some of the area’s top chefs and restaurants. For more details, click here.
