Humorous, scathing beer review
This beer review has nothing to do with Ohio. But I found Todd Haefer's description of Lazy Mutt Farmhouse Ale so scathing and entertaining at the same time that I thought I'd post a link here. Haefer reviewed the beer from Minhas Brewing Co. in Monroe, Wisc., for the Appleton Post-Crescent newspaper.
"I first noticed an unpleasant, heavy yeast aroma, almost sewerish, before I even took my first sip," he wrote. "Thoughtfully, however, it was accompanied by an equally sewerish yeast flavor. Then the first traces of a sharp popcorn-like taste kicked in, enhanced by a thin, watery body."
