Jackie O's Pub & Brewery in Athens will hold its next bottle release Aug. 17, brewer Brad Clark announced on his brewery blog. The brewery will release four beers in 22-ounce bottles:
-- Dynamo Hum, a frambroise aged 22 months in a cabernet barrel. "One of my personal favorites," Clark wrote.
-- Evelyn, a barrel-aged sour brown ale with raspberries.
-- Chunga's Old Bruin, a sour brown ale aged in oak barrels with cherries.
-- Cabernet Barrel Aged Aberrance, a black saison that was aged for six months.
"With the brewpub back up and running, there is a ton of beer on draft up town and we plan on having 30 to 38 different beers on draft for the event," Clark wrote, alluding to the fact that the brewpub had been out of commission for awhile earlier this year because of a mechanical issue.
He added that Jackie O's -- ranked this year as the 97th best brewery in the world, according to Ratebeer.com -- has signed a distributing deal with Cavalier Distributing and will start showing up more around Ohio.
