JAFB Wooster Brewery in Wooster will celebrate its one-year anniversary Saturday (Sept. 14) with an all-day customer appreciation party. The festivities, which include live music and food trucks, begins at 1 p.m. and runs until at least 11 p.m.
"Local business has been better than expected," brewer and co-owner Paul Fryman said, reflecting on the first year. "I thought we’d have a little party for all the customers who have made us successful. There’s a lot more beer to be made."
He added that he thought Wooster's excitement of having a craft brewery would die out a few weeks after opening. But that hasn't been the case, he said.
"I try to keep up with that by introducing new beers and making sure the everybody who comes in has a memorable experience," Fryman said.
He added that he made a special double India pale ale for the event. But he made the mistake of putting it on tap early and "everybody drank that beer really fast" so it's gone. But don't despair. JAFB will have 15 beers on draft for the party.
